a1d41e3"Move extension initialisation prototypes into extinit.h" also includes a change to GlxExtensionInit to install the swrast GLX provider. Sinceb86aa74"GLX: Insert swrast provider from GlxExtensionInit" already does this (correctly, by installing the swrast provider at the end of the chain, rather than at the beginning), and since this would seem to have the effect of making the swrast provider the most preferred provider, I'm guessing this wasn't intended. X Server
The X server accepts requests from client applications to create windows,
which are (normally rectangular) "virtual screens" that the client program
can draw into.
Windows are then composed on the actual screen by the X server
(or by a separate composite manager) as directed by the window manager,
which usually communicates with the user via graphical controls such as buttons
and draggable titlebars and borders.
