It can take some time for Xorg to start. If Xorg runs as a systemd service and other services are based on it, they have no way to determine when Xorg is really ready to accept requests. Let's use sd_notify() provided by libsystemd to signal systemd for readiness. If Xorg has not been started as a systemd service, this won't do anything. X Server
The X server accepts requests from client applications to create windows, which are (normally rectangular) "virtual screens" that the client program can draw into.
Windows are then composed on the actual screen by the X server (or by a separate composite manager) as directed by the window manager, which usually communicates with the user via graphical controls such as buttons and draggable titlebars and borders.
