ATTR_KEY maps to ID_INPUT_KEY which is set for any device with keys. ID_INPUT_KEYBOARD and thus ATTR_KEYBOARD is set for devices that are actual keyboards (and have a set of expected keys). Hand-written match rules may only apply ID_INPUT_KEYBOARD, so make sure we match on that too. Arguably we should've been matching on ATTR_KEYBOARD only all along but changing that likely introduces regressions. X Server
The X server accepts requests from client applications to create windows,
which are (normally rectangular) "virtual screens" that the client program
can draw into.
Windows are then composed on the actual screen by the X server
(or by a separate composite manager) as directed by the window manager,
which usually communicates with the user via graphical controls such as buttons
and draggable titlebars and borders.
