In the `doListFontsAndAliases` function in dixfonts.c, when a font alias
is encountered (`err == FontNameAlias`) as a result of
`list_next_font_or_alias` call, the code allocates memory for
`resolved` variable (`resolvedlen + 1` bytes) for storing target font
name. In this case, if the `malloc(resolvedlen + 1)` call fails,
`resolved` remains NULL.
Later, when check (`else if (err == FontNameAlias)`) is TRUE, the code
uses `memcpy` to copy nullable `resolved` into `tmp_pattern` without
checking if `resolved` is NULL, so there is a potential null ptr
dereference.
This commit replaces `malloc` with `XNFalloc` for allocating memory for
`resolved`. `XNFalloc` will internally check result of `malloc` and stop
program execution if allocation was failed, preventing potential NULL
dereferencing.
Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

and allocates memory for c->savedName.
If the malloc(namelen + 1) call fails, c->savedName remains NULL,
but c->haveSaved is still set to TRUE. Later, when a font is
successfully resolved (err == Successful), the code uses c->savedName
without checking if it is NULL, so there is potential null ptr
dereference. XNFalloc will check result of malloc and stop
program execution if allocation was failed.
Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

In Xinerama/Panoramix configuration there's one screen that's having special
meaning - it's used for simulating as the frontend for all client operations:
the clients (should) only talk to that screen, while panoramix subsystem is
proxying those operations to all the other screens (with certain changed
applied, eg. coordinate transformations).
Historically, this screen happens to be the first one in the system (some of
it's proc's are hooked up in order to achieve desired behaviour). That's why it
used to be accessed via screenInfo.screens[0] - that already had been encapsulated
into a tiny helper `dixGetFirstScreen()`.
a) the correct terminus technicus for a situation where one device (or SW entity)
entirely controlling others is a master-slave-relationship: the controlling
device/entity is `master`, the controlled ones are `slave` (to that specific
master).
b) the term "first screen" is inacurate and misleading here: what the caller's are
actually interest in isn't the first entry in the screen array, but the screen
that's controlling the others. With upcoming refactoring of the Xinerama/Panoramix
subsystem, this might well be a different array index than 0.
c) the term `default` also wouldn't match: `default` implies there's a real practical
choice, and such value applies when no explicit choice has been made. But in this
case, it practically doesn't make sense (except perhaps for debugging purpose)
for a client to use any different screen.
Therefore fixing the function name to the correct technical terminology.
(for sake of patch readability, renaming corresponding variables is left to
subsequent patches).

As preparation for moving doListFontsWithInfo() (and it's callers) to
x_rpcbuf_t, inline the SwapFonts() call into the caller function.
SwapFonts() has several problems, eg. directly operating on a buffer that's
holding xQueryFontReply struct (which isn't the correct one, just happens to
match) as well as the whole payload.
We first need to get them out of the way, before we can split off the reply
into the (statically declared) header struct and the (x_rpcbuf_t-filled)
payload.

The global (exported) serverGeneration field is `unsigned long`, while
many other places copy it and compare it two other integer types, eg.
plain `int` (which is signed). Even if it's unlikely ever reaching such
high number of generations that it will ever make trouble, it's still
a good idea to clean this up and use the same type everywhere.
For clearity, introducing a typedef `x_server_generation_t` which is
used everywhere, instead of raw `unsigned long`.

Only key difference that calloc(), in contrast to rellocarray(),
is zero-initializing. The overhead is hard to measure on today's
machines, and it's safer programming practise to always allocate
zero-initialized, so one can't forget to do it explicitly.

Both xlib as well as the Xserver use the same identifier "GC" for
different types. While on xlib it's just the numerical ID of a GC,
the xserver defines a struct for it by the same name. This is this
ugly and needs ridiculous hacks for Xserver code that needs xlib.
Easy to solve by just renaming the GC typedef to GCRec (consistent
with how we're naming other structs) and replacing GC* by GCPtr.

Using calloc() instead of malloc() as preventive measure, so there
never can be any hidden bugs or leaks due uninitialized memory.
The extra cost of using this compiler intrinsic should be practically
impossible to measure - in many cases a good compiler can even deduce
if certain areas really don't need to be zero'd (because they're written
to right after allocation) and create more efficient machine code.
The code pathes in question are pretty cold anyways, so it's probably
not worth even thinking about potential extra runtime costs.

PANORAMIX was the original working title of the extension, before it became
official standard. Just nobody cared about fixing the symbols to the official
naming.
For backwards compatibility with drivers, the old PANORAMIX symbol will
still be set.

Windows' native headers using some our RT_* define's names for other things.
Since the naming isn't very nice anyways, introducing some new ones
(X11_RESTYPE_NONE, X11_RESTYPE_FONT, X11_RESTYPE_CURSOR) and define the old
ones as an alias to them, in case some out-of-tree code still uses them.
With thins change, we don't need to be so extremely careful about include
ordering and have explicit #undef's in order to prevent name clashes on
Win32 targets.

Font initialization was split into two stages, the first was to set up
font privates with a call to ResetFontPrivateIndex, then much later
the call to InitFonts to set up all of the FPEs. Doing the full font
initialization before initializing the video drivers means that we can
move the call to ResetFontPrivateIndex inside InitFonts.

Patch 3ab6cd31cb fixed Xinerama
interactions with font servers by not putting clients to sleep
multiple times. However, it introduced additional changes dealing with
libXfont routine returning Suspended more than once for the same
request. This additional change was to abandon processing of the
current request and free the closure data by jumping to
'xinerama_sleep' in each of the functions.
Font library functions shouldn't return Suspended more than once,
except for ListFontsWithInfo, which produces multiple replies, and
thus ends up returning Suspended many times during processing.
With the jump to xinerama_sleep occurring after the first reply was
processed, the closure for the request was freed and future calls into
the ListFontsWithInfo callback resulted in dereferencing freed
memory.
This patch removes the added branches, reverting the code to its
previous behaviour, which permitted multiple Suspended returns and
simply waited for the client to be signaled again so that the callback
could continue processing the request.
